The purpose of this class is to RELAX. Restorative Yoga consists of a few poses which are held for a longer time allowing students time to relax into the shape of the pose and breathe more deeply. Bolsters, blankets, blocks and other props are often used to help students get comfortable into the pose and giving the body an opportunity to rest and renew.
Rocket Yoga is a modification to the traditional-Ashtanga based system that was created by Larry Schultz while on tour with the Grateful Dead. Rocket Yoga is a derivative of the 1st, 2nd and Advanced series of traditional Ashtanga Yoga and it is known as an invigorating, feel good practice that brings vitality to its students.
Slow Vinyasa Flow is a meditative flow that practices slowing down by using a slow steady breath, holding postures, transitioning smoothly, and opening gently and mindfully with the ability to move deeper into one’s body and self. It is a practice that builds strength and endurance. Each movement is initiated by slow controlled inhales and exhales that calm the nervous system and allow the body and mind to relax. All levels are welcome.
