Julie completed her 200 Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) through Subtle Yoga (which focuses on the combination of yoga and mental health, founded by Kristine Kaoverii Weber) in Charlotte, North Carolina in 2015. This training was of special interest to her, as she is a licensed psychotherapist, and this specific YTT combined yoga with mental health/neuroscience.
In her spare time, she loves to be outdoors, garden, hike, and hammock, as well as spending time with friends and family and, of course, practice yoga. Not only does Julia appreciate the physical practice of yoga asana, but she also has an interest in the other limbs related to philosophy and how living into these concepts and principles can create a more fulfilling and joyful life.
In 2017, she completed training in Prenatal Yoga from a professional doula to be able to support women with yoga throughout their pregnancy while also bringing in some therapeutic approaches to the class to encourage and support the mental health of these mothers and is currently subbing the Prenatal Yoga class at kOMpose, as needed..
