Kate found yoga after college as a replacement for her dance training. A natural affinity for yoga’s principles of alignment and strength through movement led her to soon find even greater personal healing potential from restorative and meditation practices. Her love of learning led her to complete 200-hour teacher training at Yoga Blend in Burbank, CA in 2013. A typical class with Kate will combine thoughtful movement with restorative postures, breath work, chanting and visualization to provide a holistic yogic experience. She believes that each student is their own best teacher, and the leader of a class is facilitating a personal journey. It is important to her that students are taught to practice safely by learning to listen to their own bodies, that students are offered chances to push their boundaries, and that they can take something personal with them after each class so that the practice of yoga is not confined to the studio.
