Kathleen has always loved fitness! She was a competitive figure skater, gymnast, and cross-country runner at Canisus College in Buffalo, New York. In 2009, Kathleen took a Mat Pilates class, and immediately loved it. She earned her certification in Mat Pilates, and taught happily for 9 years. Then she gave yoga a try. She was drawn to yoga because of its mindful focus on using one’s breath while flowing into and out of poses. She also loved the focus on positive yoga philosophy and a connection with a higher power. Now, Kathleen loves to take yoga classes almost everyday. She loves to keep learning and growing in her practice so that she can share her practice with her classes. Kathleen thinks it’s fun to change things up, and try new poses in each class. She’s a lighthearted teacher, and tries to help people feel welcome, supported, and free to do what they can and want to do.
Kathleen lives with her best friend and husband, John, and two furry pups named Charlie Brown and Linus. Kathleen and her husband love to go out on weekends in Broadripple, and drink craft brews with dinner. They love to laugh and go out with their “dog dinner group” once a month, and watch comedies like Saturday Night Live, Comedians in Cars Drinking Coffee, Seinfeld, and The Office.
