Katie Clark, RYT-200
Katie discovered yoga in 2011 when she attended her first vinyasa flow class. She loved how yoga brought a sense of play to her life and allowed her to find acceptance in her body. In October 2014, she traveled to Costa Rica to complete her 200 hour yoga teacher training with Banyan Gallagher. Katie taught mostly power vinyasa classes upon returning until pregnancy forced her to slow down. In February 2017, she and her husband welcomed a baby boy into the world and she took a year off from teaching to focus on family. When she returned to the practice, she found that it had completely shifted. Pregnancy and motherhood had awakened in her a softer practice, one with longer holds and slower transitions. Similarly, she noticed her teaching became more balanced as well.
With a strong focus on alignment, Katie sequences her classes carefully and encourages you to find both strength and ease in the body. She believes yoga is the perfect tool to gain awareness and mental clarity, and she strives for a light-hearted atmosphere.
