Aimee, RYT200, Studio Owner

Aimee came to kOMpose looking to be a part of a community and wanted to try yoga as something to help her manage her depression and anxiety.  She has a background in contemporary dance and ballet.  She was initially attracted to yoga because it reminded her of dance, but she came to find the healing benefits of yoga to be unmatched.

Aimee signed up for the 200hr Yoga Teacher Training program through kOMpose as a way to deepen her knowledge and practice as well as find that sense of community she was looking for.  She started teaching at kOMpose in 2021.  During that time she was looking into starting her own small studio to help spread the benefits of yoga to friends and family, so it was a perfect fit when she was presented with the opportunity to purchase kOMpose at the end of 2021.

Aimee teaches a functional style of yoga with a belief and knowledge that each body is built differently and the focus should be on the benefits of each pose instead of how the pose looks.  She is passionate about helping others learn to love and accept their most authentic version of themselves through yoga. Aimee is also passionate about music.  You can find her singing in local cover bands around Indy.  She is inspired by traveling and exploring different cultures.  In her down time, she enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her cat (Maggie).
