Virtual Myo-Yin: Lower Body Focus with Michelle Finch

This amazing combination of the stress melting practices of Myofascial Release and Yin Yoga will leave you in a state of ultra relaxed bliss.

In this class, we will integrate ball therapy techniques (myofascial release) along side the practice of yin yoga. Myofascial release (MFR) is a form of self massage using various tools (tennis/lacrosse balls and the like) to release trigger points throughout the body. Yin is a style of yoga that targets the deeper connective tissues (fascia) through slow and moderate pulling or pressure to release tension and create greater mobility. The combination of these two proven techniques can encourage the relief of long held pain and tension.

What you will need: Two tennis balls or two massage balls (we recommend Yoga Tune-up 2.5" balls), one yoga block and a yoga mat or a carpeted surface (it is not advised to practice directly on hardwood, tile or laminate flooring as the tools will slip out from under you easily.
