Research and experience show that meditation holds many potential benefits such as stress and anxiety management, better sleep, blood pressure reduction, pain control, reduction of menopausal symptoms, overall better mental health, increased focus, more presence in daily life, and an increased sense of overall wellbeing (who couldn’t use that?). We may know that meditation would be good for us, but we may not sure how to start.
This two-hour virtual workshop will include a discussion about meditation including what it is, its benefits, how to set up a practice, and how to be in the practice. We will also spend time experiencing some different types of meditation practices. You will leave with handouts (a pdf emailed to you) to support your practice and more confidence in how to start, re-start, or re-inspire your meditation practice! All are welcome!
“You’re actually in deep meditation all the time. It’s just covered up by all the noise, and all the thoughts, and all the emotional things that are running through you. It’s always there underneath.” – Naval Ravikant
