Join Kristine Camron for a 2-hour Yin Yoga and deep relaxation (Yoga Nidra) workshop.
The first part of the practice will be a Yin yoga sequence. Yin Yoga is a slow, mindful practice during which floor-based poses are passively held for 3-5 minutes. Long-held poses help to overcome restrictions in the fascia and other connective tissues, significantly improving range of motion. The stillness and quietness of this practice enables the nervous system to switch into 'rest and digest' mode and the mind to focused in the present moment. Yin Yoga is a perfect counterbalance to the fast-paced lifestyle many of us lead.
The second part of the practice is devoted to a unique style of guided meditation called Yoga Nidra, often translated as 'yogic sleep.' In Yoga Nidra students lie down and are guided through body and breath awareness and visualization techniques. Yoga Nidra is among the deepest possible forms of relaxation as it induces a state of wakeful calm and deep rest. It can be an excellent way to counter stress, still the mind, reset the nervous system and can be effective for relieving insomnia or general exhaustion.
By the end of the workshop you will feel deeply nourished, relaxed and restored.
